Japanese automobile manufacturers are now forced to rely on their automotive sales overseas.
The reason is, the domestic market in Japan reached the lowest point during the last 38 years in the 2008 fiscal year that ends in March.
As quoted AFP, decline in the Japanese domestic market to make the Japanese automotive industry depressed.
Japanese car industry association that is The Japan Automobile Dealers Association says there are only 2,891,901 cars, trucks and buses are successfully sold in 2009 to 31 March.
This figure is down dramatically compared to 15.6 percent the previous year. The decline is a decrease for 6 consecutive years and reached the lowest point since 1970.
Consumer cars in Japan are forced to reduce the purchase of a car because of the high cost of both car ownership and maintenance. As a result, the car market is also muddy.
This trend forcing Japanese manufacturers to rely on markets abroad, but on the other hand, global economic crisis is also forcing them to reduce production and receive income from a smaller branch in the foreign country.
